Saturday 21st October I attended the Baby Show 2017 at The London Olypmia. I have never been to a Baby Show before, I have always wanted to, especially when H was born but just never got round to going.
My husband, H and I drove to the London Olympia and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to find and navigate. It was really well organised with plenty of signs and people to help. Perfect for all of those baby brains!
We arrived pretty early, around 10.30am and I am glad that we did as we got to do a fair bit of exploring before it started to get really busy.
H did have moments were he got restless and bit fed up but we found the perfect solution – Pegpergo! They had set up a fantastic area were the children could play on the ride on tractors and diggers! Such great products too! H loved it so much and has already put the tractor on his Christmas list.
I was also so impressed with everyone that I spoke too on the day. Of course I know they were all there to sell things but I found that no one was pushy or overbearing so it made the experience a lot nicer. The offers on the day were pretty fab too. There were so many 15%, 20% and 25% offers, great for those bigger purchases, Cribs, Cots, Prams etc. Plus I can’t fail to mention the amazing freebies and goodie bags that were being handed out too.
I had a couple of stand out companies/products from the day. Lily Pad – oh my goodness what an amazing invention. Its basically a small bib for the babies bottle to prevent drips and spills and rashes around babies mouth. Genius! We got two different designs and can’t wait to use them!
CuddleDry were another stall that I adored! I bought a gorgeous CuddleDry towel, another great idea, it’s a towel that fastens around you as well as being a hooded towel for baby so when you are getting them out of the bath they are completely covered up and instantly warmer. It’s made from bamboo and is so so soft! I really cannot wait to try this out.
I must also mention the First Aid courses for infants that were being held at regular intervals. I didn’t go into one as I have very recently just completed a course but I thought it was a perfect place to introduce first aid.
Kiddiewinkles was a company I had heard of but not really taken the time to explore. A lovely lady greeted me and was super helpful. I bought a matching grey gingham laundry bag and toy basket. The quality of these products is impressive, so durable but great looking. I am loving the white and grey look for babies nursery at the moment so these are going to make the perfect addition.
Unity Beauty Essentials is a stand that I wasn’t actually going to look at but boy am I glad that I did! All of the body moisturisers and tummy butters I sampled were so luxurious but I ended up with the Complete Duo Stretch Mark cream and oil and it is an absolute dream! I always thought that kind of products were all much the same but having tried this one I can see that they are not. My tummy no longer feels tight and itchy such a relief!
Also the NCT Charity organisation, well I was very pleasantly surprised to see a stand like this at the baby show. I had heard of them but again it was not something that I really explored so I had no idea of really what or who they were. I spoke to one of the lovely ladies at the stand and she gave me some fantastic information on what the charity is all about. This is a link to their website and I urge any new mummy or daddy to take a look.
So that is my quick overview on my experience of The Baby Show 2017. I didn’t think that I would be raving about it as much as I am but I really recommend it to anyone expecting or to anyone that has already welcomed their bundle of joy. There is something there for everyone.
Love Amy xx
